We celebrated the kids' hard work of music learning at our piano recital. All three of the kids played beautifully, along with my other nine students. It was a special afternoon! As the teacher, I wasn't as focused on taking photos, so this is the best I have of a Payne performer.
After the recital, we treated ourselves to dinner at a new restaurant - we licked our platters clean!
My last Mother's Day date . . . he decided we would go bowling together. Our tradition is to share a box of Hot Tamales on our dates =)

As a rising sixth grader(!), Rooke started attending church youth group events this summer. One night, after dropping him off, we took advantage of the cool evening and went for a walk around the Capitol building.

After living in the house for a year, we decided to hire help to remove the bamboo forest growing along the side of the yard, which showed promise of taking over our yard if not dealt with soon!
